Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced E-learning Design and Video Editing Consultant to support the creation of interactive, engaging, and compliant online training modules. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using Articulate Storyline and Rise for e-learning design and will possess strong video editing skills using software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and possibly Camtasia. This role requires a deep understanding of 508 compliance to ensure accessibility standards are met across all e-learning interactions and video content. This includes review and updating existing content for 508 compliance. 

 

*This position is less than full-time and will be filled through an Independent Contractor Agreement for ad-hoc tasks.*

Responsibilities

  • Review and update e-learning modules using Articulate Storyline and Rise for 508 compliance.
  • Edit video content to enhance learning experiences, incorporating graphics, sound, closed-captions and animations. 
  • Ensure all e-learning content, including interactions and videos, comply with Section 508 accessibility standards. 
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other stakeholders as needed. 
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality content production. 
  • Test e-learning modules for functionality, usability, and compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards. 
  • Troubleshoot issues related to e-learning content & media assets. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, Communications or a related field. 
  • 5 years of relevant experience. 
  • Proven experience designing e-learning content using Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise. 
  • Strong video editing skills using tools like Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and potentially Camtasia. 
  • Experience in creating accessible e-learning content that meets Section 508 compliance requirements. 
  • Familiarity with the principles of instructional design and adult learning theory. 
  • A portfolio demonstrating e-learning projects and video editing capabilities is preferred.

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise. 
  • Proficiency with video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere and After Effects; experience with Camtasia is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with 508 compliance standards and experience in applying these standards to digital content. 
  • Strong understanding of multimedia formats, video compression, and publishing for web and mobile platforms.

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with accessibility standards and quality control. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently. 
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative solutions to design challenges. 

 

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for the required U.S. government security clearance for this project.
