Overview

The Systems Test Engineer will work with our clients, supporting multiple modernization effortsOur team works with the CIO, CDO, architects, other software developers, IT specialists, AI specialists, data scientists and analysts, economists, all of whom collaborate to transform the way our clients collect, analyze and use data to make informed decisions through fact-based evidence.  

The Systems Test Engineer will join a strong team of dedicated IT specialists in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise data strategies; the design, development, and deployment of various websites with significant data repositories. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with project peers, business partners, leads and other stakeholders to design test strategies, develop test plans, and develop test cases 
  • Research, prioritize, and manage defect reports and resolution activities 
  • Recommend testing improvements through QA best practices, supporting other testers and sharing knowledge of test tools 
  • Assure adherence to company and client development methodologies 
  • Effectively communicate test plans, test reports, and test metrics to Senior Leadership 
  • Setting up, maintaining test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, for APIs deployed on-prem and on-cloud. Develop, execute and troubleshoot automated tests for acceptance and robustness 
  • Maintain automation code quality and test pipeline for CI/CD using DevSecOps techniques and tools 
  • Perform testing of new application and/or system functionality to validate the supported operating systems; across multiple platforms 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Computer or Information Science or related discipline)  
  • 2+ years of experience in testing software products using various automation techniques 
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices 
  • Experience implementing solutions using Agile Scrum/Kanban/Iterative delivery methodologies 
  • Hands-on knowledge on API and Web Services testing 
  • Working experience within agile development teams with a BDD approach and supporting the developers to quality assure developments early 
  • Excellent knowledge on Testing Fundamentals 
  • Strong hands on experience in automation testing 
  • Prior Platform-as-a-Service, Data Science project experience/knowledge   
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders 

 

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen, and either have an active Secret Clearance, or qualify for one.
